In what universe is that clean? It’s late as all hell. The kid just comes back from concussion and Hyman just destroys him on a late ass hit.

The whole “shouldn’t have admired his pass” is garbage. Sure you should always have the head on a swivel and be aware but you shouldn’t have to worry about people destroying you with a high late hit, that’s garbage and what the league has to get rid of. He didn’t have to hit him there. McAvoy is as clean as they come. If it was Marchand I could at least be like, well..ok. Tho I’d still say it’s late and unnecessary.

If Marchand did that to Matthews the goddamn site would have been down from the backlash

That angle makes it look worse than it was. The ice level angle shows no elbow at all.

That hit was incredibly late. Its looks like Hyman decided to hit McAvoy after the puck was gone. Put his shoulders out like 1-2 second after McAvoy already played the puck .
