Ref already called it a major penalty of interference. In the eyes of the officials it was obviously late. If McAvoy is injured it's one of the easiest suspensions DOPS is going to have all year.

Maybe late, but there's absolutely nothing else wrong with it. What's the precedent for interference? 5 if the guy gets injured, rarely do you ever seen any suspension based on interference alone.

It was late though. As a Leafs fan I'd be enraged if it was the other way around.

The hit was way late and was clearly an intent to injure with it being that late. If McAvoy is hurt it definitely deserves a suspension. If he is not out, no suspension.

For those of you that love the hit....McAvoy JUST came back from a concussion. What if this was a Leafs player? Y’all would be calling the league non-stop and flooding HQ with letters.

Wasn't a clean hit, sure, but this is not an argument against it. If it's a clean hit and McAvoy gets another concussion, that's not Hyman's fault. If he's never had a concussion and it's a dirty hit, it's still a dirty hit.
