That's true, but why not just go four years at a slightly higher cap hit? That would keep him under control till age 29 and make him more valuable in a trade unless his level of performance goes down the drain.
He did, but Johansson asked for $5.25m in arbitration, and settled for 3 years at $4.58m.
5,6,4,3,1,,,,7,,,2
Those are the years I would hope for in order.
Would love to be a fly on the wall for these, guessing award will be very close to 5.5 per.
Ok, how soon do we hear what the decision is?

I'd be surprised if it was close to 5.5. That's just my opinion.
Guy on Twitter I talk to said, Flyers/Schenn can come to deal during the 48 hour arbitrator decision review.
So a long term deal isn't 100% dead, but you'd think its still unlikely at this point.
He's got a good agent and they appear to be far apart to get to this point, so they must be confident. We shall see,,,
That's positive as long as the meeting is cordial. Some say they get heated but I think Button has always said everyone he was in was very cordial
His job isn't to talk nice about why he believes Schenn is only worth so much. Not good to get to this point but it is what it is.Meltzer brings up a Milbury story most of the time, but Milbury is a 100% clown, I don't think Hextall's job is to destroy human's emotions.
