"Sin bin" = Penalty box
"Take'r for a rip" = No one on you, take the puck and go.
"Your mother is a lumberjack" = Want to fight?

Yeah I'm not a fan of using sin bin in hockey. It's from rugby originally...it definitely fits rugby quite a bit better.

Maybe it's just me but I think terms like "muffin", "apple", and "tossing a pizza up the middle" are all absolutely stupid.

There is nothing better than being on the bench with a full on eruption of hockey lingo.

duster - sits on the bench collecting dust
grocery stick - also sits on the bench, seperates the F from the D
bender - a player who can't skate, ankles show a lot of bending
flow - beautiful hair, curls out of the helmet perfectly
sauce - a nice pass that floats through the air like a saucer
accidangle - when you lose the puck right in front of a defender, but it ends up right back on your stick with the defender fooled
back hand toey d - back hand toe drag, usually followed up by some variation of snipe

Biscuit?

When I played I could never hear the crowd, except when my Dad yelled "SHOOT THE BISCUIT!" Usually good advice.

My only contribution is "clown shoes"

Referring to bad coaching or management choices.

Ie. Mark Letestu is playing on the powerplay again? That's clownshoes.

Maybe someone knows the term I'm thinking of but I can't remember it for the life of me.

When you are following a guy into the corner, and you cross check down on the top of their pants, essentially putting them off balance with the force downward of the cross check.

There is a term for it - can't remember it for the life of me.
