Regardless, who's gonna be on team Switzerland, they will get eaten alive.

They saw no land the last 2 years, and the team is much weaker this year. The 01 born generation could be, beside the 98ers, the worst in more than a decade.

The defensive and offensive leaders, Delemont and Rochette are both underagers. This says it all.

How is Villa Alessandro? I see he made the U18 WJC last year as the only underager on the Swiss team.

someone has the Swiss lineup for the tournament ??

For some reason the federation hasn't published any roster yet. It should be close to this one from the last training camp tough, minus several cuts:

Fatton Thibault 17.11.2001 G HC Lugano
Baragano Iñaki 04.09.2001 D Lausanne HC
Delémont Noah 07.02.2002 D EHC Biel
Fiedler Cédric 20.04.2001 D EV Zug
Fuchs Finn 26.11.2001 D SC Bern
Huber Sascha 30.11.2001 D GCK/ZSC Lions
Landolt Silvan 18.07.2001 D GCK/ZSC Lions
Näser Jari 24.10.2001 D HC Lugano
Schweizer Maxime 29.10.2001 D EHC Biel
Ugazzi Nicolò 21.02.2001 D HC Ambri-Piotta
Villa Alessandro 23.01.2001 D HC Lugano
Andersson Johan 12.04.2001 F GCK/ZSC Lions
Bardh Sebastian 11.05.2001 F EHC Kloten
Baumann David 05.01.2001 F EHC Kloten
Bouchareb Karim 23.10.2001 F HC La Chaux-de-Fonds
Burkhalter Mika 02.05.2001 F SC Bern
Dähler Ronny 28.02.2001 F SC Bern
Duffey Guillaume 12.03.2001 F SC Bern
Hasler Nicolas 25.05.2001 F HC Fribourg-Gottéron
Knak Simon 27.01.2002 F EHC Kloten
Lanz Dominic 22.01.2001 F SCL Tigers
Marchand Lionel 23.09.2001 F GCK/ZSC Lions
Mermod Arthur 04.05.2001 F Genève-Servette HC
Rochette Théo 20.02.2002 F Lausanne HC Schläpfer
Elvis 13.03.2001 F EHC Biel
Schwenninger Dean 05.03.2001 F EV Zug
Stoffel Yves 05.03.2001 F EV Zug
Welter Aron 16.04.2001 F EV Zug

As the poster above already said this seems to be a very week year for Switzerland, so blowouts are to be expected. Players to watch are Rochette and Delemont.

Holtz has been scoring at an outrageous pace in the exhibition games leading up to the Hlinka. 8 points in 2 games in this camp, 7 goals in 2 games the previous camp. Raymond has not been far behind on the scoresheet. Let's hope that continues, not much happening from the other forwards.

6 players to keep an eye on from the Swedish team:

D:
Söderström #6
Broberg #4
Björnfot #7

F:
Holtz #27 (02)
Raymond #26 (02)
Costmar #12

Overall not a very strong team.

It's not like there's no talent on the team. Just that this generation misses a) 2-3 quality players that can make the difference on this level and b) depth to somehow sustain the dominance by top6 teams. As all the results through the last 2 years on U16/U17 level strongly indicate that.

Overall I haven't seen enough of most of the players to judge them properly.

But beside the aforementioned players it could be indeed Villa and Barangano on D and on attack Stoffel-Schwenninger-Welter who successfully played together for Zug last year and maybe Burkhalter and Marchand, that will be relied on mostly. Ķnak as an underager might be interesting as well.

Sadly there's a good chance they will be so totally dominated, that they find no time and cool to showcase much of their potential.

Anyone know where the other pool will be shown? TSN will be showing Canada pool and all it's games. Where will the Czech games be shown?

If you have a Canadian cable package you can log on to TSN on-demand online and should have access. It is said they are supposed to have all the games, although the Czechs are in the Red Deer group, and I have no idea if TSN is allocating any resources to that side of the bracket.

So at the very least, it should be easy to watch Canada, Switzerland, Slovakia and Sweden.

When you watch Switzerland at the Hlinka Gretzky tournament, you have to think about the 2020 NHL Draft. Nothing there for the 2019 NHL Draft.

If you have a passion for Swiss ice hockey, follow the pro league!
There will be some good free agents out of Switzerland at the end of the 2018-2019 NLA season!!!!
I know it is out of topic, but I think it is important to know! Swiss hockey is good, it just has some good and some bad years.

So there is a Johan Andersson on the Swiss team, how Swedish/Swiss is he?

Brother of Axel Andersson, double citizen, born in Lausanne, developed in Lausanne and Zürich. No idea if both parents are swedish or not.

Victor Öjdemark is a similar case.

Maybe some fellow swiss supporter knows more...
