So, let's hear all these reasons why Boldy or Newhook are better picks at this moment. Should be a fun counter point.

Boldy is bigger and can probably kick Caufield's ass, and drink more beer without passing out. Can also reach the top shelf of an upper kitchen cabinet without even trying.

Newhook is a Newfy.

Boldy is playing center, which this team desperately needs. He also fits the profile of this team better, a strong two-way player.

Unless the only skill we're looking at is shooting I would definitely question the claim that Boldy is less skilled than Caufield.
I’m open for debate on this. Caufield is plenty skilled in all phases. His best skill just happens to be shooting. His passing is really underrated in the same sense that Ovechkin’s passing is underrated.

Bigger, but not as skilled. Feel like I’ve heard that one before...
Boldy is more skilled than Caufield in everything related to hockey except for his wrist shot. It's not even a question with anything else.

Sucks we got the most skilled guy who can’t seem to find the scoresheet outside of playing an atrocious Wisconsin defensive structure. Good thing the Wild really don’t have a scoring problem though :help:

I actually would've had very little issue with taking Caufield, but he's pretty much only a shooter. That's all he's been every step of the way coming up, and I don't think it's going to change much. He's not going dangle people, and he's not going to play defense like Hossa or Stone. He'll get assists in the general flow of the game, but he's passing isn't ever going to be "underrated". His only job is going to be to find open spaces and shoot.

He's just saying your Badger bias is showing a bit.
Is it bias to point out when people are wrong? I see him play every game. We’ve got posters on here who have probably seen maybe 2 games (UMD series) trying to sound like they know the ins-and-outs of Caufield’s game.

So far the list of wrong observations for Caufield include:
-he’s a power play specialist
-Boldy is better at everything skill-wise except his wrist shot
-useless unless he’s being fed the puck in the slot
-(new addition!) doesn’t dangle people

What was the basis of your "bigger, but not as skilled" comment?

You can add "stat padder on an overrated team" to the list as well.

I've actually watched more Caufield than Boldy. Don't really have much of a comment...Caufield has that scorer's magic. Boldy looks good, but i need to see some points soon. Excited to see that he is playing C.

Oh, and does someone actually want Bellows over Kunin?:help:

I really hope no one is drawing conclusions about two eighteen year olds six games into their NCAA careers.

I think that reflects a lot more about you than it does about them.
