It's interesting how we all know this team isn't great, and yet we still criticize them like they're supposed to be the New York Rangers or Boston Bruins.

This loss hurts though. We can't lose to teams like Carolina and expect good things (playoffs).

He's not wrong. I think he isn't saying what he meant correctly. There's nothing wrong with Kadri and Frattin being our best players in that sense, but when everyone else who's expected to be better than them are not playing up to par, that really does go to show how bad this team really is.

I imagine the Vancouver and Edmonton is being carried by their local broadcasters (like the Leafs game was tonight). Which is why Sportsnet West and Pacific are currently blacked out.

TSN has the week night national contract. I think under the terms of the national contract TSN gets so many mid-week games involving Canadian teams, but the majority are carried by their local regional broadcasters.

Kostka is a fine defensmen 5 on 5 worth about 14-15 minutes but he's being played in every situation. RIDICULOUS. Phaneuf can't hit the net save his own ****ing life. get him off the ****ing PP. Play Franson and Liles more on the PP (WHERE THERE MOST ****ING VALUED) and Kostka Phaneuf more 5 on 5. I'm DISGUSTED. How do these guys get these jobs??? I wanna throw up. I have a feeling that most people wouldn't whine about a loss if there was some semblance of an effort put forth by the team that they support. Losing a nail biter in OT or a back and forth fast paced game is one thing but that... whatever that was... is completely different.

Honestly the fans that attend our games are pathetic. MLSE would be wise to find something, ANYTHING to inject some kind of passion into the fans in the stands. Our crowd is such a snooze-fest. I can't think of 1 time this year that the fans have collectively chanted GO LEAFS, GO for any amount of sustainable time. You hear it in pockets here and there, but not once has it been a stadium wide concerted effort to support the home team. But ask them to boo...watch out!!

That's why some of us are calling for a tank. This year's 1st round is deep as hell. Phaneuf isn't a #1, he's a #2, but by the time Rielly is ready, will Dion still be able to be that great #2D? Also, Kessel has a chance of walking in 2 years. If some team is inquiring about him and the deal isn't too bad, I'd think about it. Team isn't good at all when half our D corps are AHLers. Reimer hasn't been bad his last couple of games but we're leaving him to the wolves. If we really are to tank, I'd trade away our valuable pieces for assets that will come to fruition at around the same time Rielly "explodes" onto the NHL.
