Since Perry went down to injury Getzlaf has been on fire. 6-10-16 in 12 games (1.33PPG pace) with no Perry. If we talk about his last 12 games period, he has 20 points (1.67 PPG pace), recording a point in 11/12 games. Many nights he has no top 6 winger either.

He has been carrying the team and has been solid in every area of the game.

It's been said. But its true, when Getzlaf decides to take over a game, not much you can do.

Getzlaf always tears it up in December. It's just a lot more impressive this year because he is doing it with Rene Bourque (who belongs in the AHL) on his wing instead of Corey Perry.

He wasn't going to last in a slump for too long, he is a top-5 player in the world. The work ethic is there and so is the size. He is just too good

This really doesn't warrant a main board thread. Getzlaf is awesome but so are a bunch of other players. Crosby is still going to win the Hart.

Matt Beleskey would be a top 6 forward on a lot of teams. Is he worth $5M? Hell no but he has been generating a lot of chances and has a very good shot. If he's used correctly he's very much a top 6 forward.
