Like it a lot in isolation, in terms of the roster make-up I feel a little nonplussed.
He fits on all lines basically, outside of maybe Sid's.

You need guys outperforming their contracts to win the Cup. This is that.

I don't care if a prospect gets blocked by someone better. We're trying to win this year.

And for all the people feeling we're missing physicality... that's not why we lose in the playoffs.

I bet he goes back to Buffalo

I don't think BUF wants him back. I can see them adding some veteran cap dumps like a Hornqvist or Bailey (if the sweeteners are significant enough).

They have been a team that I think could take a chance on any one of McGinn, Kapanen or Blueger for their bottom 6.

If we could get Heinen for that WHY KEEP KAPANEN at 3.2????

This man speaks the truth!!

Then again, also forces you to ask the question: why keep Kapanen at all?

Having a guy like this in your pocket that can plug in just about anywhere and be successful is a good thing. As we all know, the team will be ravished by injuries by mid-October, so I like having the cheap depth.
