I know.

I'm saying he's a Pro player that is expected to trust his body, go all out, etc. Where i'm going with this is.. why can't he trust is body (problem in his head) -or- he's still not 100% (physical problem) and just can't do somethings. Which one of these or are both the issue??

he is still a human, nobody is ever going to trust there body after certain surgery's.

My totally uninformed guess based on how I'm seeing him move is both...and more physical than mental. He knows he isn't 100%, wants to be back out there playing, probably rushed himself back...but feels like if let's it fly and goes balls out, he's going to reinjure himself something fierce (I'm guessing he's right to be thinking that way).

I just hope he makes it through this season without injuring his pelvic floor again, and then some healing time & strength training will bring back his trust & health for the '14/'15 season.

Why?

More like he has new tires.... Post surgery he should be better than before, stronger, etc. Time to go all out so to speak.

That's not how the human body works. Scar tissue builds up and leaves repaired muscles/joints weaker than they were before. No matter what. And Havlat has a whole bunch of scar tissue.

He's had groin issues since 2001. 13 years ago, and this is just his professional career. Two surgeries during the season and I'm assuming he's had multiple tuneup surgeries during the offseasons. It's the rigors of professional sports, and the more you have to repair, the more often it breaks.

After multiple groin and hamstring injuries throughout his career and then this most recent surgery which was a huge one, there's a better then good chance this is what he is.

He has no power in his stride, no acceleration / speed. His stops, starts, turns are well below average and he has a hard time using his legs to engage in boards and puck battles. AT almost 33, I doubt he's ever going to be the skater he was pre-surgery.

I noticed this distant look about him also, not sure if this is his personality or it's as you stated that he feels "out" of the group.
Doesn't look like he's having much fun, i see no passion in him or his game. Hardly a smile..

Not sure the cause of this.. his lacking game, still recovering from the surgery, hates the doctor who messed up his hips, coaching and or medical staff.

While were speculating, I wonder if he is an east coast guy preferring the east coast travel but since he was traded has no say where he ended up at but hasn't played well enough or been healthy enough to go to DW and get himself moved to the east. That is a subject that would never come up because it would make him a pariah here and do little to make another team want to make a move for him.

He had an NMC, so he agreed to be traded here just like Heatley agreed to go to MN.

I mismemembered but that doesn't mean that he doesn't prefer to be in the east and after being in the west sometimes it may well wear on some players after awhile. I thought that Heatly had a window in which he was available and/or the same with Havs.

All surgeries of that kind leave adhesions (scar tissue). The repair can be complete, but the adhesions are still there. The process of breaking down the scar tissue is a long one and it can give tweaks that feel as if it were reinjured. There is enough difference in feeling that no one would feel 100% sure of a complete repair.

Possibly if he had to travel and play buy he hadn't been on the ice a lot the last few years. I don't know what kind of wear is he really taking eating personal chef meals on the plane and chomping popcorn in the press box.
