Sorry but Ehrhoff and Lukowich for what is currently just Chris Tierney and the swap of draft picks that got us Brad Stuart in the first place instead of Vinny Lecavalier is probably the worst trades in Sharks history.

Yes, he can be put on IR (or LTIR if out 10+ games/24 days). But the Sharks won't "save" any cap.

Just put him on the shelf for the rest of the year. If we make it past first round and have injuries let him play, otherwise wait till the off-season and BUY HIM OUT.

I really get the impression that while this guy is certainly injury prone, he also is totally unwilling to play with any kind of injury. Joe Thornton gets constantly trashed but will play through anything ffs.

I saw both Havlat and Hertl walking around Christmas eve, Havlat looked fine.. although maybe next to Hertl's huge limp he looked healthier then he really is.
