Hudon should make sense for them. I mean he still scored 30 points in his rookie year last year.
Speak Finnish? What are the Finns going to do to help him when McDavid couldn't get him going?
We need real top 6 talent, not a reclamation project. Swing for the fences, stop bunting.
Pulju is not "soft" he is 6'4 and over 220 lbs. He just need to be less sure of himself like Drouin
I'm not overvaluing it to say I'd trade a 22 year old 3rd pair D for him.We might think too highly of our prospects, but as your post showed.....you overvalue the fact that he's been drafted 4th overall.
Paying for untapped potential of which we didn't see a glimpse of at the pro level for cheap isn't swinging for the fence either.
And how is that supposed to help his on-ice performance? Does he need to be told how to receive a pass or when to take a shot every time he's on the ice?Speak Finnish?
This kid seems really self entitled at this point...does that match the MB attitude era? Would think not...
If Hudon was the same age it would work.Hudon should make sense for them. I mean he still scored 30 points in his rookie year last year.
30 points is still more than Puljujarvi has ever scored. If Hudon was the same age it would work.
Do we know for sure that McDavid can't?Speak Finnish?
that I agree, I thought MTL was good for "project" but the past showed us that we are terrible with projects that have a attitude problem. A project who will always play his heart like Domi almost always work out well in MTL ( radulov was an other example of how well he did with us).Cmon, do we need another 'project' in Montreal? He's challenged offensively, ans really hasn't proven much defensively, I'd rather stick with Juulsen.
If we're to tap into the same mongerer who is saying the Habs are showing interest in Puljujarvi, the cost to get him would not be very high.
MOB offers this on what it would take to get him.
TRANSLATION: His value has to be about a 2nd rounder or a 3rd rounder and a B prospect.
And in a reply to a twitter user, he says that the price has gone down from what it used to be earlier in the summer:
It is, but age counts when the difference is 4 years. Also, draft stock.30 points is still more than Puljujarvi has ever scored.
Pulju is not "soft" he is 6'4 and over 220 lbs. He just need to be less sure of himself like Drouin
Clearly, Puljujarvi is not prepared to work his way up. He expects to be gifted a top 6 role and a minimum amount of minutes.
It wasn't him who had said that. It was a writer for the Ottawa Sun who did.
Beaudoin was the first to break the Deslauriers trade to Anaheim for a 4th.
I don't know his track record for these. But I don't completely discount his info.
the fact that he coulnd't play with Drai, Nug AND MCjesus is quite concerning. Maybe he only wants to play with a Finn center ?I think he’s a top-6 player but he’s got to earn it like anyone else.
I haven’t seen him play since the World Juniors and back then I liked what I saw. That said, he appears to carry a lot of baggage. I have no idea of the line combos they’ve tried, but with two #1 quality centers there in Edmonton, and arguably 3 centers who can play top-6, why Puljujarvi couldn’t get it going is concerning.
