Richer should've been so much better. Mental health issues got in the way. He would've been a HOFer otherwise. And still one of the best shots I've ever seen.

I was so young watching him I couldnt understand why he was not putting up better numbers, the mental health stuff makes sense.

He can make a much bigger difference to the Habs fortunes short term, than Caufield can. Probably long term as well.

If 22 is what they gave him, then 22 is what he'll wear. Young players don't have much say in the numbers they wear with the Habs. Management makes those decisions.

I wouldn't count on him wearing any other number any time soon.
