I expected this to be a loss. Had all the makings of a let down game, especially given St. Louis return to the bench after an extended absence.

I thought Sam Girard was disgustingly bad tonight. Easily the worst Avalanche skater for me.

He kept making stupid dump after stupid dump. Consistently put pucks into corners where nobody was going, or around the boards where nobody was skating and the Canadiens kept getting easy exit after easy exit.

It was painful to watch.

Don't forget when the Avs won the cup they went IIRC 1-6-0 in their last 7 games. We just finished a 9 game winning streak where bad play started to creep in. This loss and likely more are bound to happen as we get near the finish line.
