I'm really curious about this game. Switerland is out of the competition and USA is already qualified for the quarters. I think we can't really see a good game...

According to Kevin Allen on his USA Today Twitter Feed, Miele and van Riemsdyk are in and Fayne and Palmieri are sitting for today's game vs. Switzerland.

Team USA needs one point to secure 3rd in Qualifying Group F. So as long as we don't lose in regulation we'll be the 3rd seed. If we lose in regulation, we're the 4th seed. The 4th seed would have to play the Czechs in the QF round. The 3rd seed would play either Finland, Germany, or Russia depending on those results today.

I don't even think they ever put him on the registered roster, and with the addition of JVR, the roster is now full.

Correct. There's zero chance he can play now.

That third line for the US can absolutely fly. Let's see what kind of work they can do. Excited that JvR has joined the team.

Bad move by U.S. to move Kreider to RW for that shift. He couldn't handle the puck off his backhand, which led to the goal.

Not a good play by Kreider, however why was he put on the off wing? JVR s/b the center with Miele (right hand shot) on RW and Kreider on LW.

Announcers claim Kreider has played center at BC, he has always been a LW.

Yep. He has to handle that along the boards or at least tip it our of the zone. But it still was a goal that needs to be saved.

Yeah, that was Kreider's first shift as a RW. I think that experiment is probably over.

Wow, great goal, why can't they play like this vs. Sweden or Norway?

Not absolving Kreider of blame, he turned it over, but with those 3 on the ice it should have been RW - Miele C-JVR LW - Kreider
