To all talking about Reimer, during the season he would go stretches with good games then have one terrible one. So no suprise he had a bad one against the states, but hes all about rebounding and playing well.

Hopefully this will at least diminish the arguments of Canada goalie "deserving" to be in and another "not" deserving to be in-at least when it comes to Bernier and Reimer?

They've both played well, and both had shaky goals.

The point is they're both playing for Canada, and it should be CANADA that is the important thing, not which NHL team they play for-those arguments can be had during reg season.

It's been the same story for much of the tournament. Our goalie lets in softies to keep the other team in it, while their goalie stands on his head and makes 50 saves. Canada's goaltending has been weak on all levels of international play since Carey Price's run @ the 2007 WJC. Ridiculous.

And that's the game. Canada holds on despite Norway's sudden rush of offense.

Have to say, what a wonderful effort by Norway.

Exactly. Bernier had his game, his little 15 minutes in the sun, now let's get Reimer back in the net. Huge game against Sweden on Monday.

Except for the fact that only one of Reimer's goals was weak and none were on a breakaway.

Can't even compare the goals Bernier gave up to the ones Reimer did. Anyway whatever the case it's Reimer's net to lose and looks like he hasn't lost it. Go Canada Go!

They sure don't like giving player of the game to the same guy twice. Tavares could have three by now.

That's rich.

Two days ago it was all about the result that mattered.

You said that Reimer > Conklin because he won the game.

Now Bernier wins in regulation, vs. Reimer who gave up the 3-3 goal to go to a shootout, and it's about the quality of the chances.

Whatever makes Reimer look better is the convenient argument I guess.

At this point, I really could care less. Neither Canadian goalie has looked particularly stellar, and it's concerning going forward.

Nice to finally get some decent goaltending for once. Bernier is awesome.

I thought Spezza had the best game TBH. I guess Neal because he ended up with the game winner..... that's kinda weak though IMHO, because it was freakin 3-0 at that point. It was only the game winner because Canada spit the bit at the end, and Neal choked on a couple glorious chances earlier in the game.

2 years from now, no one will remember who won POG anyway.

Both Reimer and Bernier let in soft goals. Both had weak defensive coverage in their zone. Both won their games.

Bernier was good in the first two periods in this game. Reimer was good in the first three games.

It was Reimer's net to lose and with Bernier's performance (especially late in the third), I don't think Reimer will lose the number one job.
