lmao, Sulak just scored from Zadina, but Zadina raised his arms before Sulak even took the shot.

When Zadina passed the puck to Sulak, the Stars players were all on the sides (2 players on near boards and 2 on the far boards) to where Sulak just walked right in and picked his spot for the goal. He could not miss from where he shot. Easy goal for him.

I know this is going to sound weird given he has 5 assists and is +6 in 7 games, but I don't think Cholowski's had a game yet where I've thought to myself, "what is he doing down here? Get him up to the Wings." I definitely had that moment with recent prospects like Mantha/Bert in 16/17, and Hronek this year. Idk. Something about his decision making just seems a bit off. Even with people screaming for the youth movement, it's probably better that he's down in GR right now until he takes that next step.

He's a trainwreck defensively, he definitely belongs in GR. His offensive game is NHL level though.

Idk about his offense being NHL level, he just kind of stopped producing. I still like him as a future player but maybe he's not as far in his development as we hoped at the beginning of the year. Hronek however has been solid at both ends of the ice at the NHL level and has consistently produced.

Hmm you might be right but I still think it is NHL level but he certainly had some of his confidence shattered since he was benched multiple times and I am sure that affected him. Or Blashill wanted him to focus on defense instead of offense. I dunno.

Let's just say he wasn't a realgud pro. ;)

His offense dried up when the defense got healthy. He went from playing 20 mins a night and some PP time to not playing much. I'm not worried about his offensive game but his defensive game needs to improve for sure

If a few benchings shatter his confidence and affects him negatively, he isn't going to succeed in the NHL.

He was a -2 last night. Lashoff looks faster on the defensive end then Cholowski does. Cholo takes his sweet time deciding what to do when he has the puck in his own zone and the Stars forwards pounced on him time and time last night. That is why he is in GR and not in Detroit. Also having a hard time lately keeping the puck in the opponent's blue line offensively. He has to work that out of his system in order to make it to the NHL for next season. Maybe someone has to take a run at him hard to get him fired up and maybe wake him up out there.

That's something I noticed too. He takes way too long to make decisions. There's a balance between being Lidstrom like and creating time and space and just not making the decision in time.
