Nashville is likely done for the off season. Tootoo or S Kos might be dumped for nothing, but if not thats fine as well, they likely will not make this team out of camp

Zack Parise (6.5) - Mattew Lombardi (3.5) - Patric Hornqvist (3.083)
Martin Erat (4.5) - David Legwand (4.5) - Steve Sullivan (2.25)
Alex Kovelev (2.0) - Colin Wilson (1.725) - Matt Beleskey (583,333)
Joel Ward (1.5) - Marcel Goc (775k) - J.P Dumont (4.0)
Nick Spalding (700k)

Lidstrom (8.0) - Ryan Suter (3.5)
Jan Hedja (5.25) - Cody Franson (800k)
Kevin Klein (1.35) - Francis Bouillion (1.35)
Ryan Ellis (1.4)

Pikke Rinne (3.4)
Dwaune Roloson (600k)

Salary: 59,973,333

Not a terrible team. Lots of depth up front and should be able to get scoring regularly from 3 lines. Lots of offense will come from the back end with Lidstrom, Suter, Franson and Ellis. Hopefully Lidstrom can show Ellis how to lead a PP at the NHL level. We feel we can compete with the big teams in the West, a solid transition game along with good special team guys and we feel we can do some damage come playoff time

I hate it when teams tank one season, dump off all their high end players then land big name UFAs. Hope Semin enjoys being in a rebuild for the next 3 years

Considering that will leave him with 7 more years as the star player on a sick lineup of young talent acquired via that rebuild (Connolly, Ashton, Lehtera, Nugent-Hopkins, Howse, Erixon, Pelech, Beaukeboom)... yeh, he's fine.

If Semin was in contracts talks with Calgary and you said, " ya we got Connolly and Ashton coming up in a few years" I am sure that would make him thrilled :sarcasm: They do not compare to Ovi and Backstrom lol

Hope you know you're only supposed to have 4 forwards lines :sarcasm:

Signed Jussi Jokinen, more in the FA thread. One more position to fill and then we'll be posting a summary of our big off-season.

So, you're over the cap.

I am sure during the course of the year, someone will end up getting hurt and end up on LTIR, ( like NJ this season ) and that will allow me to save the 100k I am over the cap. If I am not allowed to do that, I will just keep Ellis in the AHL

Just curious... where are Smithson, Tootoo, S. Kost?? Are they hiding in the closet? You'll need to waive all of those players, hope they're picked up cause you can only send 1 to the AHL and buy out one. You even re-signed Smithson to a 2 year contract and aren't using him.

Yeah, you need to fix this now. Although I think Kostitsyn was traded.

Your Goaltending is worrisome...but I like the crop of young forwards. Definately on the upswing (tho prob not a playoff team yet)

Since I doubt anyone is still interested in a trade at this point here is my lineup under the cap. Beleskey, Wilson and Ellis can go to the minors ( and do not need to go on waivers). I am sure someone will get hurt and placed on LTIR and Wilson will be the first call up

Zack Parise (6.5) - Mattew Lombardi (3.5) - Patric Hornqvist (3.083)
Martin Erat (4.5) - David Legwand (4.5) - Steve Sullivan (2.25)
Alex Kovelev (2.0) - Goc (775k) - J.P Dumont (4.0)
Joel Ward (1.5) - Smithson (800k) - Tootoo (1.25)
Nick Spalding (700k)

Lidstrom (8.0) - Ryan Suter (3.5)
Jan Hedja (5.25) - Cody Franson (800k)
Kevin Klein (1.35) - Francis Bouillion (1.35)

Pikke Rinne (3.4)
Dwaune Roloson (600k)
