It was my first time taking a team and really doing a rebuild with it. I usally always try to have the best team possible and trade prospect/draft pick to do so. This was different, not sure how you guys think i did but I think getting Seguin in the trade was awesome for us (awesome for Boston too...they won the cup).

During the off season, I went to work trying to build a winning team and did my best. I knew no big UFA would sign here and it would be hard to convince players to sign here but things went really well for us.

On offence, Knuble is a player we targeted because we felt it was realistic we could land him with the money we were gonna throw at him, and he fit well on our team with his experience he can bring. He also adds some needed size on our fowards. we also added some good depht to the team and good role players. To be a good offensive team, we will need our young players to step up, it will be interesting to see what Omark and Couturier can bring to the team in their first year.

On defence, Gorges and Stuart are 2 key addition. We also brought back Gilbert to bring depht to the team and some puck moving skills to the back end. Overall we feel we have a stabilizing defence, nothing flashy but with a good commitement to the team by the players, they'll get the job done.

Goalie stay the same, hopefully Khabi can stay healthy and Dubnyk continue his good work and gets better.

Some new faces on the team for the season including elite goaltender Ryan Miller, defenseman Shane O'Brien and forwards Jussi Jokinen and Aaron Asham. Brendan Morrison and Hendricks return to the team, familar with our players and style. We think we're in the elite category of the NHL. We have top-end talent in all positions, and while we don't have Alex Semin, we've replaced his offense with balance throughout the lineup in Wolski, Sutter and Jokinen, who we feel compliment eachother well on the 2nd line. Defensemen Tim Gleason and Keith Yandle add more depth to our quality blueline, which boasts offense and solid, gritty play in the defensive zone. We're looking forward to the season and to hopefully knocking the Bruins out of the cup race this year as some payback.

After falling in the cup finals, we thought about adding role players who can contribute we feel we have a elite top 6, and arguably the best bottom 6 in the league. On D we are fairly stacked, rookie Kevin Connauton will get a chance to play as our 6 th defenceman. In goal we have the same old tandem, Luongo and Schneider.

Final roster:
Vanek (35 goals)-Connolly (20 goals)-Kessel (35 goals)
Ruutu (20 goals)-Grabovski (15 goals)-Vertseeg (20 goals)
Kulemin (15 goals)-Bozak (15 goals)-Kobasew (10 goals)
Dvorak (5 goals)-Reasoner (10 goals)-Brown (2 goals)

Kaberle (7 goals)-Schenn (5 goals)
Phaneuf (7 goals)-Beauchmein (5 goals)
Souray (7 goals)-Aulie (2 goals)

Gustavsson
Leclaire

We might have a rough go next year with so many new players, but we've added 3 forwards who should average 60 points, some quality bottom 6 forwards, a 1st rounder and a number 2 d-man. Kadri, Gunnarsson, McArthur, McKegg, and our 1st are all losses, but this team needed its forward core rebuilt, and I've done that pretty well I think.

The end boards will be hurting at the ACC when Phaneuf and Souray are on the PP :sarcasm:

But, Well done Sir! :handclap:

High expectations for Bozak, and I'm not a fan of bringing in Souray, but other than that, Pretty damn good.
