Pervailing thought is to steer into the skid. I'll look into the cost of patching holes and always on the lookout to fill major needs (Bigger Top-6 Center, Top Pairing Defenseman), but I'm more inclined to blow it up. Only Taylor Hall & the 2015 1st are untouchable and I will not likely move RNH or Schultz. Everyone else is more available.

I will listen to any hockey moves for Vanek but I doubt I'll move him either. Many specs are available, looking to add a top 6 RW, 3rd line C and solidify my defence/goaltending. Talks are heating up on Andrej Sekera. 1st round pick plus good forward prospect is the going rate with several teams already making solid offers.

Some discussions regarding Eric Staal but nothing imminent. 1st round pick and a top prospect would be needed as part of any deal. Would also consider a deal not involving 1st/prospect if it included a good, young NHL'er. Also will consider eating some salary or taking back a contract dump.

Alex Semin has also received some interest but nothing close. Willing to eat some salary or take back a contract dump for the right offer.

Cam Ward available for cheap for anyone looking to take a chance on him. Jiri Tlusty could be had for anyone looking for a solid middle 6 player.
