[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $69M.
  • There will be no salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft.
  • Pro-rated cap hits will be moved in trades (use Capgeek's Armchair GM tool).
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the actual NHL trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players at the trade deadline.
  • Teams may have as many players on their playoff roster as they wish.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2015-2016 season is TBA.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Each team has the option of sending ONE player on a 1-way contract to the minors or Europe due to cap reasons.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the 2013-2014 NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Teams are permitted to use a maximum of TWO ordinary buyouts.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind that not all NTCs or NMCs will be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide an 8-team no-trade list for players with a "modified NTC/NMC" on capgeek upon request.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.

PM me if you want to help with the agents. I'll probably end up being one of the RFA agents.

Sent out a PM to Produce to fill the last spot, hopefully we will get that filled soon. No trades sent in until we get a Jackets GM, please.

Pittsburgh is going for it. Draft picks be darned! Prospects, who needs prospects when I'm taking home the Cup! (Also known as the IR4 method :-p)

But....I kinda have no cap space. So I will be moving a couple cheap vets (Adams, Scuderi) and am willing to talk a couple hockey deals for NHLers. Don't come near Maatta tho unless you are ridiculously overpaying.

We are in the market for a top line centre, and we're willing to talk a lot of possibilities.

Teams looking for defencemen or goalies, we've got Franson and Reimer on the block. Very few guys who are untouchable except the obvious ones (Kessel, Rielly, Gardiner, Nylander, etc.)

We are competing for the Stanley Cup (obviously).

Looking for a top 4 defenseman. Untouchables on our roster include Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, Carter, Gaborik, Williams, Toffoli, Voynov and Pearson.

Mike Richards could be moved for the right offer. All prospects/picks are available.

Rebuilding/Retooling

Looking for D man, Wingers, and 1st round picks. Check Roster page to many players to list.....highlights are

Huberdeau, Campbell, Upshall, Pirri, Kulikov, Bolland

NHL ready prospects will hold more value to me then, long projects even with high skill.

Ryan O'Reilly - Want to keep him and will but if a team is looking for a top center and is willing to move a equally good and around same age natural winger, we will listen.

Stefan Elliott (along with other asset if needed) is a young defenceman we dangle in search of a 3rd line foward, preferably a center.

Defenceman Ryan Wilson is place on waivers.

A New Era in San Jose

:sharks

With the recent failures of the current core we in San Jose have decided it is time to move out key members of the old core. Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau and Antti Niemi have all been great members of the sharks family but it is time to move on. We will also be looking to move Adam Burish for a decent pick or prospect.

We however will not be going full rebuild as we plan to move forward with Couture, Pavelski, Hertl, Vlasic etc.

We are looking for 2 top 6 wingers (preferably under 30) a tough grinding bottom 6er, and a goalie to share the reigns with Stalock. We could also be interested in NHL ready prospects for any of those positions.

All pieces could be had in trade talks (including prospects) except for Couture, Vlasic, Hertl, Burns, Goldobin and Mueller and maybe Pavelski and Nieto.

Since Thornton and Marleau both have NMCs I suggest getting offers in as early as possible since the process may take some time

Can we get a little bit of reality in this game

For instance if a big name RFA/UFA just signed a longterm deal with at team ,, That guy should not be shipped out IMO

Unless your Flyers ,, Then it wouldn't be an unrealistic scenario

I guess the question is whether this game is about building a team that you want or about building something which is "likely" to happen in the real world.

Today just so happens to be day 1 of my vacation. The only difference will be shorter more too the point PM threads (hopefully... I get a lil talkative) and less pretty updates on my roster page.

Things I'm looking to accomplish:

- acquire a top pairing defenseman
- acquire a 2nd line center or good 3rd line center
- stock up on RH defense prospects
- acquire a 3rd line RW

Purcell, Petry, Lander, some prospects, etc are on the block. I will consider moving my 2015 1st rounder for a top pairing defenseman or good top-6 center.

Yeah we tend to try and keep it more on the "realistic" side. I mean players are traded after signing new deals around the trade deadline, but usually they are on expiring contracts. A player like Jokinen should not be traded IMO because it is incredibly unlikely that a GM would risk his reputation amongst agents by doing that.

ON THE TRADE BLOCK (looking for futures) :
David Desharnais
Rene Bourque (modified NTC)
Travis Moen
Peter Budaj or Dustin Tokarski

COULD BE AVAILABLE :
Our 2015 1st round pick and other picks
Prospects (except Scherbak and De La Rose)
*Only in a package for a top line RW

Also looking to swap Magnus Nygren for a talented F prospect.

Our only untouchables are Price, Subban and Galchenyuk. EVERYONE ELSE CAN BE DISCUSSED (Pacioretty would require a king ransom).

PM!

It was more Dave Bolland that got my attention

Just signed a 5 yr / 5.5M AAV ( Tallon :biglaugh:) that would be unrealistic to see traded in this game
