An absolutely monstrous contract.

1. Cole
2. Severino
3. Tanaka
4. Paxton

It's over, Yankees are winning the WS in 2020.

Bryce got $330 million, but over 13 years. Some NBA contracts have more AAV.

Angels miss out on the two aces available. If they trade for price I might skip the next five years.

These teams really don't give a f*** what happens a couple years from now.

Yankees fans will likely hate the guy 5-6 years down the road but right now he's the hero.

Stras was always re-signing in Washington and I’m not gonna bitch out a team for not matching or beating that Yankees offer. That’s insane cash being thrown around there.

What a stupid contract for a guy who was borderline average before he went under the Houston pitching coach staff. I actually think there is a better chance the Strasburg contract works long term

Would they go for Madison Bumgarner? Not quite Cole but better than nothing. Although he wants 5 years 100 mil. Seems a lot but that's baseball for you I guess.

Baseball's vaults are open again this offseason...Bum's getting his 100 million, it's just a matter of from who.

It's a lot for a guy to pitch 6 innings every 5 days. I'd rather sign or trade for an every day player such as Betts for that kind of cheddar.

Imagine being one of his boys, “yo let me get just one mil” and be set for several years, maybe life if you do it right.

Really?

Paxton is one of the best lefties in baseball and Tanaka's postseason resume is very impressive.

paxton was downright atrocious for 60-70% of the season last year and is hurt more often than my grandmother

There's probably an opt out after 3 and 5. But I'm pumped. The last few yrs the only thing missing on the Yankees was a true tor/ace. Now we got one. Looking forward to celebrating 28

That's sort of what Epstein has done with the Cubs. He’s mostly focused on just having a very strong lineup with serviceable pitching. In general there is much lower risk of a position player sustaining serious injuries over and over
