Losing Gawanke will hurt but Germany should still have Bokk available. Idea on possible roster for next year WJC? The group will be hard but can Germany compete with , the Swiss? Maybe be around the level of Slovakia, Czech? Tournament is on big ice , what are your thoughts?

Unless Bokk improves a lot, he might be only the second or third best player on next year's team. Which is a good thing, because he's still pretty good.

To speculate on the roster for the tournament is still difficult at this point but, this is the surprisingly large pool of players I could see making the team at this point, and I probably have missed some candidates.
I have bolded the players I consider locks for the team barring injury or other reasons they might be unavailable, and I have left off guys like Alexandrov, Eisenmenger and Alanov who may be uneligible or unwilling to play for Germany.

Official, but incorrect. Dziambor was not on Ice. Second assist by Maximilian Glötzl.

Thanks. I will correct it a little later.
I really wish they would figure out a way to provide accurate boxscores.

If you spot any other inaccuracies in the official data, please let me know.

Take three blind referees and you get a low quality in the official data. No correction by the teamleader. And it counts again Maximilian Glötzl. It is funny, because you can hardly confuse Markus Schweiger and Maximilian Glötzl because of the considerable differences in size.

Correct:
3:1 Maximilian Miller (Fabian Herrmann, Maximilian Glötzl)

Thanks again. I'll change it.
Lol Glötzl and Schweiger should really be impossible to confuse.

At the rink.
Turns out Alexandrov doesn’t have a German passport at all. Given that he was born in Germany and grew up here, I’m sure it’d be easy for him to get one, but apparently he’s not interested. He wants to play for Russia and doesn’t think he’s far off from getting his chance with them.

That's rather unfortunate for Germany to lose a prospect like him.

At the U20 level we usually have many players with experience at the pro level, but I don't think we have normally this many players in the U18 team who have played in one of the top3 pro leagues in Germany. Especially not so many with significant DEL experience.

Oberliga:
Fabian Herrmann - 11 GP
Fabjon Kuqi - 10 GP
Elias Lindner - 4 GP
Mario Zimmermann - 27 GP
Enrico Henriquez-Morales - 42 GP

DEL2:
Tobias Ancicka - 2 GP
Fabjon Kuqi - 19 GP

DEL:
Simon Gnyp - 14 GP
Nino Kinder - 5 GP
Steven Raabe - 23 GP
Moritz Seider - 32 GP (including 3 GP in the Playoffs so far)

Seider will of course be a huge loss for next year, but it is still very encouraging to see so many strong '02 players on this team.
