There are rumors that he'll be an assistant coach for Germany during the World Cup in Prague.

For the people who like to keep track of former Bruins:

Geoff Ward just won the Cup with Mannheim in Germany. :)

His team won the regular season convincingly.
They won the 3 series and lost just 3 matches in the process. (4:1, 4:0, 4:2)

They trailed in the Finals 2:1 after being absolutely crushed at home in game 3. But Ward managed to turn the series around.

He did one hell of a job.
Good for him (and, for Mannheim). Good guy and good coach.

Agree, one hell of a coaching job this year. They probably had the most quality of all teams in the league, but that's not been unusual in the past and they haven't won in 8 years.
They were hands down the best team thru the whole year. And even in difficult sitiations (after being down 1-2 in the finals after 1 crushing defeat), the team responded well.

Too bad, I actually dislike the team even though being from Mannheim. :D

I remember Avalanche fans at one point being absolutely disgusted of Sacco. Guy seems like a specialist in failure.
