Hat trick (plus an assist) for Beckman.
Warren bagged a goal tonight, too.
The most interesting part of that game is that something called an "Angus Crookshank" scored for New Hampshire.

I'm pretty sure neither he nor the kid from Japan are real. The most interesting part of that game is that something called an "Angus Crookshank" scored for New Hampshire.

I don't take what he says as gospel. Army is a SMART coach. He knows when guys deserve time, whether by doing the right things when they haven't been doing them, or simply by the fact that you have a guy who shows immediately he can handle the level of Pro.On straight from the source with Tim Army, he made is sound like he plans on having Khovanov in and out of the lineup to start next year
I don't know if I'd go that far. If he gets opportunities in the top 6 and struggles then I have no problem bumping him down a line until he works on his flaws more. But if he shows he can play at the same pace as others I don't know why you wouldn't put him in a place to succeed.I don't take what he says as gospel. Army is a SMART coach. Give Khovanov nothing, make him prove everything.
He'll be better off for it.
And if he proves it right away, then Army will have every reason to play him in the top two lines.
Adam Beckman, LW, 6-foot-1 (Minnesota Wild/Spokane Chiefs)
Actual draft pick: No. 75
My final ranking: No. 83
Beckman is one of those players most scouts projected as having third-line upside. As a result, his third-round selection made a lot of sense at the time. I don’t think anybody looked Beckman and expected he would lead the WHL scoring race in the middle of March. And though this is one of the weaker WHL talent pools we’ve had in some time, his emergence to the top of that crop is a definite revelation. I’ve been particularly impressed by his playmaking ability. Beckman has always played a fine game off the puck with scoring touch around the net and the slot. But I’ve seen him make plays through traffic that I just didn’t expect he’d make. He has developed as aggressively in the last six months as any player in junior hockey and he’d be in the conversation as a late first-round pick because of it. He still needs to fill out a little and improve his skating to project into a top-six role but I’m way closer to feeling comfortable with that kind of a projection now than I was a year ago.
Don't forget Shawn Boudrias…..35 goals and 79 points in 58 games. Cape Breton plays against Moncton and Khovanov either tonight or tomorrow.Giroux has snuck in and is tied for 5th in goals scored in the OHL. His PPG is low though and is behind Lodnia. He's 36th in PPG.
So at the very least will these OHL guys be good fillers for the Iowa team?
Khovanov’s team is probably playing for a long time. I don’t know about the other teams, but if Beckman’s team falls out he could play assuming we give him a contract.Should we expect that Khovanov, Boudrias, Giouix, and Lodnia will all be joining Iowa for the postseason?
Wild twitter saying they signed a Mitchell Chaffee to a two year, entry level deal. Played at UMass.
