Rich guy leaving the scene of a multi vehicle crash he caused seems like a 98% chance he was drunk and figured it was better to deal with hit and run consequences than DUI consequences.

Or trying to find someone to take the fall for him and plead to having loaned his car

Apparently this is dashcam of the crash..you can’t tell if he was driving or even in the car or not by the video obviously.

If he was a driver, looks borderline felonious, damaged cars and injured people

But no one seriously so he’ll prob get off without much consequence.

Rice lawyered up apparently. It doesn't sound like there's any arrest warrant out for him yet, police probably want to interview him to implicate himself or other(s) as being driver

he might get away with it scot free

Police still investigating. Not familiar with the law in these matters as to whether passengers get charged with the same crime as the driver if they are street racing and subsequently leaving the scene of an accident.
If there’s a difference then the police want to make sure they know who was behind the wheel. Maybe have to check other cameras if they can determine who was driving before the accident.

Unless there's extra curriculars we don't know about (cars stolen, drugs or weapons in car, etc) only the drivers should be facing charges, if they knew who they were, they'd be arrested or have a warrant for them already.

Obviously they're trying to determine that

Anything to do with the driving I can get that all falling on the driver, but as you said, pending anything else we don't yet know about. As for leaving the scene of an accident, should that be any different between driver or passenger? I guess, driver has that burden. Passenger is at least a witness.

That probably means nothing to him. The guy left the scene of an accident like that, seems to me he's not the type that cares too much about rules or common decency
