Officially, the hottest team in the league last 10 games.
I think that’s possible but I do know they like Aho who is still a similar player. Reilly is better because he puts up points but Aho has shown he can play. I think Bolduc is going to be moved as part of whatever moves isles make in trade market.
Agreed
Pelech-Pulock
Hanifin-Dobson
Romanov-Mayfield.
Reilly Bortuzzo
That’s a big boy defense with legit depth at 7-8 too
By the way, we're back over a 100 point pace
Still laughing boys?
Yup, I really did not envision this kind of skill from Holmstrom (always saw him as a 3rd line grinder at best). He looks like a high-end 3rd liner, who could spot on the 2nd line now. His hands are crafty, he's got reach, strength, IQ, and a great defensive stick.Having both Barzal and Dobson make that jump has been a little surprising, but not shocking. Holmstrom, on the other hand has been a revelation.
Yes Reilly is over Aho for sure.I think reilly is the #6 when everyone is back.
Problem is that he's really only been productive in situations where it's pure instincts and talent, like on the rush, broken plays, etc. He's yet to really establish himself within a structure.Yup, I really did not envision this kind of skill from Holmstrom (always saw him as a 3rd line grinder at best). I think your comments on Dobson and Holmstrom serve as a reminder that it takes time for young prospects to mature and gain their confidence and man strength in the best Hockey league on the planet, and can we show some of that patience with Bolduc as well given he's only played 35 NHL games.Well 14-7-7 and near the top of the Conference now wow...
Simon Holmstrom is the new Frans Nielsen - just see him as that kind of player, which we have lacked for a while.
We are this good really because of one guy... Noah Dobson, I had my doubts about him, but wow he makes a lot of things happen. Mistakes are down and heavily impactful
Of course Gauthier is the new Chimera as the icing negating specialist with size.
People are saying Hanifin but would rather find a way to get Vince Dunn here if possible. Seattle could be out of this thing soon, and he would be a huge difference maker.
Dobson plays well with Romanov, and Romanov seems to be handling the minutes well, so the Pelech/Pulock combo may be restored.
Islanders may have to play some tough games as the teams they are battling with are the old guard teams Rangers, Flyers and Craps. Craps have played a lot less games,... this means we need physical reinforcement, which would mean Bortuzzo is going to have more value for us when we are down the stretch and if we are blessed to be in the playoffs.
I came down hard on Lambert but I think when you envision that this team can easily be 18-7-3 instead of 14-7-7... he is doing the things right to put the team in a position to win. We rarely are outplayed in a game.
Boston game will be interesting for sure, but early in the season so not sure if it means too much.

Lane praised Aho in the presser. Guess he wasn't watching him in the D zone although Ducks didn't seem to spend much time there. I hope he has the ability and sense not to play him against the Bruins.Well 14-7-7 and near the top of the Conference now wow...

He's a massive improvement on the 2nd PP unit, which has got to count for something. He’s a riverboat gambler but as long as the production is there he will play.
It was stupid to suggest tearing it down to begin with.We can hold on the tear it down talk until after the bruins loss.
Something along the lines of Wahlstrom+Bolduc/Aho+1st+ for Hanifin and I'll be fully torquedAgreed

Give Kim credit for:
Simon Says Short Handed Goal . . . good job Kim
To me, the amazing thing about Holmstrom's goal was how he can lift the puck when it's so far ahead of him.
