So best case scenario is 6th. Worst case is 9th.

I think we also lose the tiebreaker with Edmonton, FWIW. Or “win” the tiebreaker, depending on how you look at it.

If we end up tied in points, we’d also have the same number of ROW at worst. And based on head-to-head, they would win that based on throwing out one of the games due to odd number of games played against each other.

Not on its own. With a reg. L, if EDM wins their final game and the Rangers win both of theirs, we'd leapfrog them. Probably unlikely though. Could finish anywhere from 6-9.

Ohtani is planning to be back by the end of April. Upton should be returning. In a couple of months, we may see prospect OF Jo Adell for a stint or more. Heaney should be returning in about two weeks. It's possible that prospect pitchers Canning and lefty Suarez (a DiPoto era prospect) gets called up during the season. So there is some hope. The gradient of hope is, of course, another matter.

The Kings are just making us their bitch with GMBM at the helm. Amazing that they've seemed relatively competitive in every game over the last quarter of the season except for LA.

It's also amazing that we don't have a top 5 pick when you consider that Korbinian Holzer is barely passable as a 7th D-man anymore and is getting legitimate minutes.
