Canes are currently +105 Corsi Differential in 5v5. 294 Chances For vs. 189 Chances Against. Resulting in a positive 5v5 goal differential (+3):

This is despite Washington having a higher team shooting % and a higher sv% during 5v5. Canes just out-hustling Washington.

9 Hurricanes players have 3+ points 5v5. Only 2 Capitals have over 3 points 5v5 (Ovi and Backstrom). On the other hand, 5 Capitals have 3+ points on the PP while the Canes have only Hamilton (3), Slavin (2), and Staal (2) with more than 1 PP point. The 1st Canes PP unit all have 22+ minutes of PP time with zero production.

Forget the refs, the Canes need to also keep their sticks down. Weve had a crazy amount of high sticking calls this series.
