This game will depend on the start. We have to come out 100%. Not spotting them 2+ goals in the first. Take the crowd out of it.

Play a mistake free game and stay out the box. Our 5v5 play has been better than there’s.

Understand the refs will further swallow their whistles in this one. We have to play with a level head. Watch out for Wilson’s head hunting. Have Maenalenan go in a really mess with their minds.

The game will be very tight. If the Canes are to win, they have to capitalize on the little chances that they will get. Im more anxious about that than the cheap stuff Washington will get away with. We are a high volume shot group not a sniper group.

If we get a PP, score on it/them.

The Caps are 5-10 in Game 7s all time, 3-7 at home and 2-3 on the road.

Canes are currently +105 Corsi Differential in 5v5. 294 Chances For vs. 189 Chances Against. Resulting in a positive 5v5 goal differential (+3):

On the other hand, 5 Capitals have 3+ points on the PP while the Canes have only Hamilton (3), Slavin (2), and Staal (2) with more than 1 PP point. The 1st Canes PP unit all have 22+ minutes of PP time with zero production.
