CALL IT.

took 54 NHL games for Rasmussen to become an old vet that is blocking/bringing down "the kids". Possibly a new record?
Having two rookies still figuring out the NHL on the same line with a 23 year old fringe NHLer is not a good idea. It doesn't matter anyway because it was just one shift.

I definitely am not interested in making any knee jerk decisions, but I'd definitely be in favor to signing or trading for a short term second line center option this offseason. That way whatever center we are likely to draft doesn't have to be rushed, Nielsen can comfortably slot in on line three, and AA doesn't have to play center.
We actually have room to fit a free agent and our young guys as well.

Larkin, Bertuzzi, Mantha, Athanasiou, Nielsen, Zadina, Rasmussen, Svechnikov, Helm, Abdelkader, Glendening, and Free Agent. That's 12. DLR and Ehn extras.

Zadina had a couple of sick plays in this game. Very promising.

There were a lot of people concerned about him and his play in the AHL this year but man this call up and the way hes played has really put that to rest it seems. Hes looked dangerous every game and against COlorado was one of, if not the best forwards out there. I think after a big summer he'll be ready for a second/third line role with power play time next year

Guys don’t just change when they are asked to change, it’s a high iq play if you are tired and in that situation when you can get a guy to come off the other side of the bench. You gain a tun of real estate.

You don't change when you are behind the play and a clear as day 3 on 2 in OT is happening right in front of your face. You can like him and defend him if you want, but he clearly should have known he put his team in a massive bad spot there for no reason. If he missed his shot and continued on the play at normal skating speed, he either would have easily caught MacKinnon or gotten to the bench and not one person would have questioned his decision.

Same chance.... Better player finished it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the speed of aa created his chance, the shot taken by aa was a shot taken at full speed unlike the avs player who coasted in the slot for an easy set up with the amount of time he had in the slot it is not unusual to have a finish like that.

No fault on AA especially how the game finished in regulation time. The most comical part of the game was to see some of the same players on the ice after giving up the tying goal. Mckin. should have won it in regualtion with 30 seconds left in the game, The goalie made an excellent save. anytime you give up a scoring chance like the one the wings gave up after giving up a late tying goal tells me that the wings are a badly coached team.
