Halak played a great game, definitely needed that win.

Scoring is still a big issue, but nice to grind out a 2-1 win.

McAvoy played like the player we know he can be, that was just domination, he changed the whole complexion of the game with his 3-4 monstrous hits.

Not the prettiest but another big two points. Thought Charlie was excellent again, played with a physical edge and plenty of swagger, looks to be getting his confidence back out there.

For me Halak deserved the first star, made some huge saves especially the MacKinnon short handed breakaway, that would have been a killer.

2 wins out of 2 on my road trip! Roll on Tuesday and the Hawks. Wooooooo!

Frederic played only 7:30. He is not the answer at 3C, at least not right now. Something's gotta give.

JFK in his last 7-8 games before his demotion looked like twice the player Frederic is at the NHL level right now.

But this management team values "heaviness" over talent so they made the switch. Now JFK is injured and Frederic belongs back in the AHL.

McAvoy played one of his best games of the season. He was hitting everything that moved but also was really good with the puck. And, of course, his defensive save in the third period saved the game. His big hit on Nieto helped set up the first goal.

Krug atoned for a game where he struggled yesterday. He was solid in the D zone and did his thing - retrieving pucks and making the first pass out. Had a couple of pretty good opportunities. He & Miller were a solid pair today.

John Moore has been solid since coming back from his run of being a healthy scratch.

Frederic isn't quite ready yet but has shown flashes of being able to be a solid NHL player. He had a pull-back move for a shot that was impressive today, and he plays with a little bit of snarl. Cassidy is balancing giving him (a few) minutes and protecting him a lot.

The 20-year streak of not beating Colorado at home has to be one of the most bizarre streaks in sports. One could argue the Bruins were the better team for most of those years.
