Watching Laine it is very clear that he desperately wants to play with speed. He continues to circle back in the neutral zone in order to either take it himself with a full head of steam, or pass it off, get moving, so he can get it back.

He doesn’t play well when the pace of the game is slow and methodical. This might be why he appears lazy because he’s only going at the pace of the puck/play.

We need to get some transition players to play with him. I think Roslovic and Domi are passable but there are certainly better transition players out there.

An old YouTube viral video. It was some Video game where a bunch of people are talking strategy in a lobby outside of the next level, one of them breaks off without telling anyone and screams Leeroy Jenkins, blazing into the room all alone. All of the team is subsequently killed and they lose. Del Zotto is Leeroy Jenkins.
