That's why I'm doing the unthinkable and rooting for a team with Brad f'n Marchand on it.

I will not rest until I see the Bolts eliminated from the postseason so Stamkos has no shot at winning the Cup.

I may just boycott the East playoffs and root for whoever comes out of the West. Pittsburgh and Boston/Tampa is an unwatchable Conference Finals and that's what it'll surely be unless CBJ or the Flyers come back and end the horror of ANOTHER Pens-Caps tease and I'm not exactly invested in CBJ or the Flyers winning either.

I am done entirely. This season was exhausting and i can't take NBC's bias.

Take may off and get into baseball in June

Yeah the east is a cess pool this year. No likeable teams. At least the Sens were there last year, can't hate them.

I'll be rooting for anyone in the West now that the kings are out. Hopefully the Jets advance next round

Actually, that's not a bad idea if one still wishes to watch Playoff Hockey.

Root for whomever comes out of the West.

Now that the Kings are out of the playoffs, there are no Western Conference teams that are despised.

The NHL is so stale now, I'm not sure how many games I'm going to watch going forward at all.

I’m in the same boat. I may tune into a period here and there but once NJ is finished, it’s break time until the draft / july 1st. Then hibernation again until training camp.

uh, there's an expansion team that did not exist a year ago still in it, and a franchise that has never won a playoff series advancing to the next round. the east is the same story but the west is as exciting as it's been in maybe a decade

I'm not talking about match ups or story lines. I mean the actual play on the ice is stale. It's tough enough having to watch Devils games some nights with how much of a mess this league is.

Tampa is a really really good team - they raised the level against us. We are a fine team, I have no doubts about it. But there is no doubt that the better team won.

Defensively they shut us down. We scored two goals in the final two games. Their pressure on the puck; positional play and their ability also to play a physical and tough game are impressive. The offensive talent, skill and speed, are championship quality. Vasilevsky is good enough to win a cup. I like him better then Bishop 3 years ago. He is very mobile, he’s developed a Brodeur like move of playing the puck on the chip in by cutting it off before it gets to the goal line and reaches the no-fly zone. He then backpedals to the net. Like all the Russians, his basic skating skills are superb.

While it hurts to lose to them, this is a battle tested team that’s been to the finals 3 playoffs ago. They are deep at every position and hungry. Norris defenseman, two Hart quality forwards. I am proud of the Devils for having played them as tough as we did.

Our youngsters should remember this feeling. Next year go deeper. Do what it takes. It’s been a great season. Bravo. So much to be proud of; but not to be satisfied with, because a champion is never satisfied to lose.

Nyah, I hope to see your posts in about a week or two. This one hurts. But it’s going to be a fascinating playoff from here. Tampa - Pitt is going to be a great series when it happens. Winnipeg and Vegas. There’s good hockey ahead.

The Devils gave us an amazing season.

NBC is at least better than Sportsnet. They spent most of the intermissions during our game today talking about the Leafs.

IMHO The McDonagh trade took them to another level. McDonagh isn't the same player he was 3-4 years ago, but he locks down the 2nd pair. It's very difficult to navigate both Hedman and McDonagh as an opposing scoring forward.

Picking up Miller didn’t hurt them either. He’s got some size and attitude that they needed up front. The Rangers really helped them. Killorn is also very aggressive, physical and hard to handle among the forwards too. Not to mention Kucherov and Stamkos. This is a better club than they have had in past seasons, when they were already good.

Whoever ran the thing at The Rock today did a bad job.

Blurry SD feed.

4 rows of seats reserved for no apparent reason.

Missed the first minute of the 2nd.

Didn't show the handshakes.

No merchandise nor concession sales or promos.

I will still post, but as far as watching I am totally done.

I’ve never liked watching neutral games on NBC, and I really am mentally spent. It isn’t a bad thing. This season was great, but even good season’s are draining.

Tampa is a good team, and they were the better team, as they should be as the one seed.

That said they deserve ZERO respect. Their strategy was to bully a young, inexperienced team instead of out play them, and they banked on tge league turning a blind eye to their nonsense.

Good for them I guess it worked. Now they get a date with the rat squad in Boston who is 1000 times better at this garbage then they are. If they want to keep this up, they better be prepared for one of their stars getting a career shortened.

Kucharov better keep his head up.

Officials bias was the main story today.

Better and more experienced team won the series but it should have been a little longer if we buried chances and didn't lose Vats

I'm rooting for Boston over this twatty TBL squad .
But Vasilevsky had something to do with our not finishing, dont you think? I hate them right now but if he keeps playing this way they can go to the finals again.

Their series against Boston - if that’s next up - will be a war. But in the end I don’t think Boston can handle their speed. Heinen and Achari etc., Reilly Nash and the other Nash will have a hard time keeping up with Kucherov, Johnson and Point; and the Devils series showed me that they also have the physicality and toughness to stick with Boston. I think they beat the Bruins.

He made the saves he needed to, but we didn’t challenge him as much as we could have in the last two games.

Tampa’s team in front had more to do with t then Vasi. He was good but nothing special.

All year long we had trouble with teams that pressured us. As much as they bullied us, we didn’t handle their pressure on the puck. We threw it away, ran into each other, muffed passes . . . How many ways can you think of to turn pucks over? The difference between our regular season games with them and the playoffs was the pressure they brought. Pressure applied at high pace. They were often on us before we had time even to see. An impressive adjustment for a club to make.

Plus they figured out how not to let Hall beat them. Pulled a Belichick - took away the thing we did best and started pounding and punishing our star as well. Now that wasn’t rocket science, but it was a classic playoff strategy perfectly carried out. And we were not deep enough to adjust by exploiting them elsewhere, or when we tried, Vasilevsky stood tall.

Hey it worked, but I don’t need to respect the garbage hockey they brought in this series.

They didn’t play like this in the regular season, and they will get eaten alive if they try it against Boston.

Can you fault them? You gotta do anything to win in the playoffs and their tactics worked... the Devils seemed lifeless in game 5 outside of a few chances. They needed to adjust once they figured out Tampa changed their game plan yet refused to be physical. Its a good learning experience.
