Can't believe we let up a breakaway to Zetterburg 1 minute into the game. He ended up hitting the crossbar, but it's the same crap we've done the last 3 games straight.

Outside of the Zetterberg breakaway, it's refreshing to see the majority of the time in Detroit's zone. That wasn't the case in the San Jose game especially.

That Rangers game was fun to watch.
But it is a relief seeing the team play like this again. Already several heart-stopping moments but the work on the boards and faceoffs have been excellent.

How is Todd Bertuzzi still in the league? What a scathing indictment of the Red Wings farm system ...

Well to be fair, most of the Wings fans complain that Babcock unnecessarily plays old vets (Bertuzzi, Cleary, etc.) over NHL ready prospects, which according to Wings fans are much better players than Bertuzzi, Cleary, etc.

I don't watch the Wings on a regular basis, but that seems to be the consensus on their board.

Ken Holland loves his veteran players.

The Detroit farm system has some decent young players that many of the Wings faithful wish were playing ahead of Betuzzi.

It looked to me that the puck was in before the whistle, but hey, we'll take it.
