Oof, 3 on 3 is so brutal for the goalies. Happy we got the point, gladly take it against a team like Colorado. They're a damn good team.

Wasn't OEL, that was all Keller. OEL had the other guy at the net.

That one is on Keller, OEL had to cover rantenan

No.

In a 2v1, once Keller is beat, OEL needs to rotate to the man that has a clear path to the net. It's on him at that point. He can play the body or the pass but he cannot just let a skater come in alone on Raanta 5 feet out.

Keller should have had him. OEL looked all around bad in OT. We did nothing when we had possession. Let COL change, got OEL the puck and turned it over.

Good news is we got a point. Keller looks engaged and is battling. Raanta looks good. Decent game overall. Just dumb mistakes they need to clean up. Again.

Being a soft perimeter team isn't helping us.

He took a peek to make sure he had Rantenan covered and by then Keller had let Bara all alone in front. At the very least Keller can't let him pick his spot like that

Right. There are two f*** ups on the play. But forwards get beat all the time by other forwards, D need to know when to rotate. OEL didn't rotate.

Meh, we got a point with a pretty sure-fire playoff team in Colorado. Held a playoff-caliber Boston team to 1 goal. The only weird game is the Anaheim game that was based off of a bad pinch that led to the 1st goal.

I feel like we are in good shape overall. Coming back to tie from being down 2-0 is a big confidence booster and momentum piece for the road games.

This shit is already getting old. We have been the better team for four games and we are 1 and f***en 3. I'd rather get shit on and win than look good and lose.

As Barkosky moves towards the net, a passing lane opens up to the middle, so OEL had to check and make sure Rantenan wasn't drifting back into the slot.

It's okay to leave a man completely uncovered if it means stopping another guy being uncovered. You get a chance at a defensive stop, rather than just sitting there and watching an NHL level shooter dunk on your goalie.

He didn't see him uncovered until he was in a shooting position. he took a peek at rantenan, the most dangerous player on the ice, and in that time Keller had completely released pressure on him and he walked to the net

As a Caps guy (Roadrunners/Yotes 2nd), the one thing that you can't do is let Burakovsky crank up that wrist shot. It takes him a month and a half to release it, but if he does, it's deadly.

On the plus side, the RR's romped 8-2 tonight with a Lane Pederson hatty.
