No. I don't think that's the problem. The problem is he doesn't even look close to what he looked like last year.

He'll be fine. He didn't skate as much in the summer as to fully recover so he's probably a little behind. We saw him at the Olympics post injury - dude was flying. No reason he can't get back to that level.

Lazar definitely looks more comfortable on the RW with less defensive responsibility.

I disagree. Defense has always been where he excelled. Kid belongs at center. He somehow turned Michalek and smith into possession drivers. This is somehow being overlooked.

For someone who was dubbed the "best passer on his team" by a scout, Wiercoch whiffed on too many passes and killed some offensive zone chances...

Like many have already said really happy with Lazar, Stone, Ceci and Chiasson. All stood out at various points in the game.

-Is anyone else reminded of Jagr when they see Chiasson play? Obviously much less skilled but seems to really slow it down on the boards and uses his body to maintain control
- D needs big time help. It was painful at times
- If Zibby doesn't step his game up I could see Lazar start being used in his place. Hope it doesn't come to that

So far so good from the team. None of the wins have really been pretty but as some have said these wins were games we were losing last year.

Lucky for Iginla that Stone was on the ice instead of Neil. He would've left on a stretcher.

Zibanejad goes hard into the end boards and generates turnovers.

He made that one diving play to get the puck to the point.

I think he and Chiasson are effective at what they do, and they're so hard to contain around the net that they will inevitably draw penalties.

It was joke. No one is seriously gloating after 4 games. lol Besides we havent looked dominant in any of the games and imo weve looked pretty sloppy

It's funny on our board. Not as funny on the main board. Just IMO.

Baby steps with this team.

Karlsson had the bad pinch on the shorty and the drop pass to nowhere.

Aside from that, not too bad.

My main beef is that he gets a lot of shooting opportunities and he hits the net about 1 in 10.

He finally puts it on net and Legwand scores on the rebound.

You don't have to pop the water bottle every time Erik ;)

If Chris Neil and Chris Phillips sit it drops to 2690.

They would too, if some posters had their way. :naughty:

For the most part, though, both guys have done their jobs so far this season.

I know Phillips took some heat tonight but he has a pretty tough assignment.

That MacKinnon has some wheels.

But I kind of get the issue with Colorado.

They can impose decent pressure in the offensive zone and are swift in transition, but boy do they run around in their own zone.

So much so, that they remind me of us.

He used to always get it on net. I think he needs to work on patience or change the curve on his stick.

I made a thread about this not too long ago.
