For fun. Shorten the bench and throw Mitts in LW with Larsson/Girgs.

Actually, let's just make that the 2nd line going forward. If they're not going to call up someone from Rochester...

Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Mittelstadt-Larsson-Girgensons
Sheary-Sobotka-Okposo
Thompson-Rodrigues-Pommer/Elie

Still 2 lines that are a complete black hole, but Girgs/Larsson are limited offensively by the fact they are Girgs/Larsson. Add Mittelstadt and see if you can get another line that actually finds the back of the net.

What exactly are you risking by bringing in better players?

More points?
Or a roster full of cold players in a losing streak. Every game lost is lost points, too. They're playing for playoff revenues, not fan satisfaction. We're not in a position to fire off call ups/down right now

The issue is we have better options in Rochester, specifically CJ Smith or dropping Sobotka and bringing up a scorer instead.

Maybe. I'd like to see the kids too. But there is also a very real chance that Tage is a better NHLer than the rochester reinforcements, and we know how we all feel about Tage

We are in a perfect position for call ups

Real curious to know if Botts is taking the playoffs seriously this year.

The cushion they built up is rapidly shrinking

So caught up on dvr. First line has produced chances and played well against a tough matchup for them. O’Reilly is a tough check for anyone particularly when he can force the game to slow down in the neutral zone. And they still had quite a few opportunities.

Girgs and Larson are monsters with possession and I feel safe as a child with them on the ice. But they need a finisher on their line. They need to start trying out the Rochester wingers thru this line. Olofsson Nylander Smith, whoever, it’s tryouts again.

Those other two lines are absolute trash. Limit the bleeding, Sheary Mitts Thompson, hope Mitts makes a pass and they score.

But right now that lineup demands the first line scores 3 or we lose.

This is a game they needed to win. Not exactly sure how they're going to get secondary scoring going except for a a call up or trade at this point.

Unfortunately the phrase "Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic" comes to mind. Everything in our 2nd and 3rd lines is AHL level trash, shuffling things up won't change that. Call up guys who may not totally suck.

Management has gone on record calling this a building season, Botterill said he plans no buying moves trade deadline.

Just throw them in a cesspool, whilst in a playoff position? Brilliant. Call-ups are hard earned, and peppered into the line-up. If all your guys are sucking, who do you scratch? I see Wilson replacing Elie, and Botts having the tough job of evaluating mediocrity before the deadline.
