I remember the taped wrist thing. He's scored a bunch of goals since then, just not over the last 6 games. Then again, he doesn't seem to be getting off his shot like he usually does.

Why is Gardiner shooting the puck right into the goalies chest. When there isn't a screen in front of the net the shot should be along the ice because there is likely to be a rebound this way and people wonder why Gardiner get's benched, he can't play defence and has lost his offensive touch.

LOL anyone who has played hockey or football at a high level will tell you that having a taped up wrist does not imply an injury, let alone a severe one. Kessel looks like he has his taped up in such a way as to brace his inner wrist. Worst case scenario is he likely has mild tendonitis. The fact that he's had it for a month or so though likely means that he has it taped up for precautionary reasons. Definitely not an excuse for the guy to be playing poorly.

It's an excuse for his shot being off, but not for the rest.
