I’m not sure you even know what I’m referring to. You’re original assertion was that it would be good for Sweden’s chances to win this tournament by losing this first game to relieve the pressure of the winning streak.... while simultaneously tripling the difficulty level of their quarterfinal matchup. THAT is what I think you didn’t think through.
End the useless streak (useless if you don't win gold), win when it matters.

Win when it matters. Correct. This first game is definitely when it matters for the reasons that have already been mentioned.
It still doesn't mean the tournament is over if you lose this game. When do you have seen Finland win the group? We rarely do and we have still got 3 goals in 6 years.

2x 2nd place, 1x 3rd place on the group and we ended up winning the gold. It hasn't helped Sweden to win gold medals.

Only like Canada can go the tournament undefeated. Maybe Russia.

Sweden has done so, while massively outplaying all teams.

Winning the group is great, always great. I mean, you could end up playing relegation games against Latvia :sarcasm:

I find it weird that Puistola is on the 2nd and both Rätys are on the 4th line, as they have performed more or less the same way.
Then again I don't know how Raipe manages his lines, we'll see if it works.

I think Sweden takes this one. Finland is weak this year and Sweden doesn’t lose in the group stage.

Care to say how is finland weak, not any weaker than last year.

Even though we are missing Kakko, kotkaniemi and Lundell

last year we were missing Heiskanen, kotkaniemi etc too

And 2014 we were missing Sasha Barkov, olli määttä etc

But i think it is cleverer to spend the power for the Play-Offs. A Round Robin 1st Place hasn t much value. You mus win medals.

Yeah I know, but I didn't understand the previous comments, us being weaker all of a sudden with 5 returning players and etc aatu Räty 2021 1AO, there is plenty of talent.

Räty is consensus 1st OA for 2021 yes but he's also 16 years old. So i don't thi k he'll make too much of an impact.
