Lauzon had a pretty bad game IMO. Several times instead of clearing the puck off the glass or reversing D to D he decided to pin the puck against the boards and wait for support.

Not sure why he went with that game plan tonight but it didn’t work for him. Maybe he thought doing so would draw two forecheckers and an odd man rush the other way if they won the puck battle

Toronto wins its Cup. Against a borderline AHL roster. Good for them! They are vastly overhyped even without Matthews.

Bruins did decent, played pretty well. Losing Miller again is terrible with the ice time he was logging.

That goalie pull decision is just abysmal and that needs to be re-evaluated for next time.

You don't win too many when you the the post FIVE times.

The good news is that the Leafs defense is just as bad as we thought it was. Great game by the Bruins, just couldn't get the breaks and bury the easy ones (c'mon Marchand, put that wraparound in). Defense could have been tighter but Carlo, Chara, a full game of Miller and McAvoy will take care of that.

He played just fine considering there was only five D in the ice. Nothing to complain about tonight.

Their PK is lousy and they need a couple of top end defensemen.

Still have no idea how Babcock coached teams get away with so much stickwork and interference.

Again I disagree. Bruins controlled that sequence until Krejci missed the net.

What needs to be reevaluated is using Krejci as the long guy up top there.

Good game. All things considered.

Controlled play for long stretches but had some breakdowns and poor puck decisions that either have Toronto life or let them off the hook when they were running around in their end.

Really need some help up front. They all hustle for the most part. But there is a lot of 4th liner hands out there

Game looked a lot like the 3 the Leafs beat the Bruins in the playoffs with. Some bad luck for the Bruins and Andersen bailing out the Leafs defence. One more powerplay and it was a tie game (how about Debrusk getting slewfooted before he took a shot to the head).

Took the L, but hard not to feel good about that game. Generally outplayed a good Leafs team, albeit, without Matthews and Nylander.

I think it's clear at this point in the season that there aren't enough finishers on this team, and this game was a good example of that. 1st line's got Pastrnak and 2nd has DeBrusk. They need someone for that role on the 3rd line. It's hurt them for several years now. Either Donato needs to fill that role, or they're going to have to go get someone.

I don't mind the timing of pulling Halak. I'd Cassidy had his top line ready, and could get a favorable matchup while Babcock waited to put his top defenders put for the final minute. At least I see some rationale in it.
