Brown was also awesome in the preseason.

He's close.

I really do think that around the trade deadline we could see them come up. If not next year, they may decide to keep our good/younger prospects away from this team entirely.

They may instead opt to fill out the line up with some guys like Carrick, Leivo, Frattin.

It's possible some are undesirable - We couldn't move Booth last year.

At the very least, we put some meat shields on the team to take some beatings while we got our young guns some time in the AHL to get ready.

To be fair, Booth wasn't good until after the TDL. People may laugh, but he'd be worse than everyone on this team.

So uhhh older posters...is this what the Ballard era was like?

Not quite....Ballard went out of his way to make sure the team lost....if a player was successful. ..it was a sure thing he was traded (see: Rick Vaive).

That and he was just a pure ******* of a human being.

Possession stats are pretty even this game. Forward scoring/goalies have been the difference.

Top ES CF%

1 Komorov 78
2 Arcobello 75
3 Harrington 73
4 Holland 67

I wasn't planning on it, but we're 2 games into the season and I'm already starting to think Tank.

This is one of the reasons I don't have to much faith in using possesion to judge anything.

Very similar however, the Leafs at that time at least had someone who could score 50 goals in a season....Rick Vaive.

Then he traded him. Traded Lanny....traded Sittler....ostracized Keon......fired Roger Neilson....then replaced him with...Roger Neilson wearing a bag over his head.

Ballard will forever be the worst owner ever.

Or these numbers are essentially meaningless in this context.

Really... because it's seemed like Detroit has dominated possession.

So there is more to the game of hocey than possession stats and stats in general?
