I don't know if y'all have seen the video of the little guy giving fistbumps to the Bruins as they leave the ice, but it's quite a nice video. Anyway, Dougie's the only guy who blows him off, the jerk. Hope at least one Leaf pancakes him tonight, he deserves it.

Svedberg is starting tonight.
Chara out.
Krejci out.

They are on a 5 game win streak though :)

Win or lose, hopefully we can compete. We haven't seen a really bad game in awhile, so hopefully tonight is not one of them.

 we're going to burn out the Arizona game out of our memories? ;)

Weird decision by the Bruins to play a goaltender that has historically been so good against us but so bad against the Habs.

I wouldn't under estimate Svedberg though. He's sporting a 1.67 GAA and a .940% save percentage in 5 games. Only allowed 7 goals against...

I think it's basically, he'll get over it. (or that's the mentality). when they face each other in theplayoffs, they aren't going to rest Rask for 4-7 games, to secure the win).

Sounds like their saving their starting goalie for other teams.

Opens the door even more for a Leafs win tonight.

Go Leafs Go.

Hope so. It just seems like every time door opens (injuries to other teams), the Leafs seem to lay an egg.

Go Leafs Go!!

No Chara, No Krejci, No Rask so if the Leafs can't win tonight then there are some serious issues.

There better not be any egg laying.

Well, they have already faced the Bruins sans Chara.....and that was an osterich sized egg.

Good faceoff, strong possession team with Svedberg putting up good numbers so far.

Gonna be a tough one to win. Boston hasn't had much trouble putting away middle of the pack teams recently.

Leafs need to bring the intensity in this one.

I can't wait until the Leafs are so good they play their backup (whomever that may be when we are so good) against a division rival.

The Leafs started Reimer last Sunday against Ottawa...

I was wondering when somebody would call me on that lol.

I really do hope the Leafs are a contender with the current tandem. My guess (and it's only a hunch) is that by the time the Leafs are ready to contend -- one of Reimer/Bernier will have won the job outright, with the other being moved to further strengthen the team.

If/when that happens, and we get to the point we can play our backup against Boston or Montreal in a 4 point game it can only mean that the curse has been lifted! :sarcasm:

Boston plays Montreal tomorrow night too, so that's probably why we're drawing the back up tonight IMO

Yes.

He's got some pretty bad numbers against Boston so far... so hopefully he can end the trend tonight.

Hopefully.

Are Reimers numbers that much better against them?

We kind of need the win tonight if we want a good November. The rest of November doesn't get any easier.

Ottawa played their backup as well. It was a battle of the backups as the starters played the night before in the front end of back to backs.

Agreed Boston is saving Rask for Montreal tomorrow.
