Elias was actually really good for us in shootouts. He was always the anchor back when we were good at it.

I understand that, and I'll grant you that was probably the logic. To be fair, though, he's looked lost at it, along with each and every one of the vets, for an extremely long time.

Bad game. Great result. They got a nice late goal on a terrific individual effort after really not even trying for most of the tilt.

And what can you say. I guess that embarrassing streak had to end sometime. Winnipeg looked pretty sloppy in that shootout but we buried the one we had to bury

After Brunner hit the post I'm sure everybody thought "here we go again"

And Elias. Very lame halfhearted attempt. When is it time to get worried about this guy?

Devils win a shootout.
Deboer plays Josefson.
Josefson plays well and scores.
Deboer plays Larsson.
Larsson plays well.
Deboer benches Salvador.

World is ending tonight, right?

I can actually be happy now until Deboer makes the next asinine personnel decision!

cmon......were not rags fans

No we're not.

But this was GIGANTIC considering it's been an ongoing thing that really p*ssed me off. I'm so damn happy it's FINALLY OVER.

Now let's see if they can use this monumental moment to jumpstart the rest of their season.

5-3-2? Still a solid position to begin a run to the playoffs.

Good game.

The Jets are notorious streakbusters so I knew that's how it was ending the second Ryder scored.

You're welcome.

PS: Big buff really doesn't weigh 800 pounds! Did you see how he out skated little Andy Greene AGAIN?

Kane dusted another promising d-man. It was Larsson a couple years back. Today it was Severson. Man, he and Wheeler are crazy good.

I have to say though Schieffle has been disappointing.

He let two newer guys get a shot, and trusted Elias might be able to use the opportunity to get himself straight. Also maybe he trusted Cory

Very possible Reid goes 4th.

This was Deboers best coached game in a long time for sure. Only blunder wasn't putting Bouch in at the end.

exactly I don't think he had to touch the puck once in that shootout ...... lol but good for him and JJ

No.. but he played that much more aggressive. Exactly what I said he needed to do the other day after we lost the shootout against whoever.

That's the first time I've ever seen Cory poke-check.

and it worked.

Yeah as soon as Brunner hit the post I was like you've got to be ****ing kidding me. But it turned out well. Josefson is playing better than I've ever seen him before. Good on him for seizing the opportunity. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Absolutely. If he can coach like this every game, I'm absolutely happy with him behind the bench.

I just don't have faith he'll do that but in his words, he has to take advantage of the opportunity when its presented to him

Ya, whoever shot first tried to do that dipsy-doodle crap Spezza pulled the last shootout. This time Cory poke checked and broke it up.

He played all three correctly.
