Positives:

The new offensive system is starting to show, some real nice play between Milano & Phillips and some of the other guys.

It's nice to have solid goaltending.

The Caps win.

First win for the new coach

CMM and Phillips goals

Ovi had a takeaway and was seen between the d-zone dots at least once.

Wilson hit on Zadorov

Bäckström is looking like a useful player.

Negatives:

The D-zone play is a complete mess. The problems with getting out of the zone seen against Pittsburgh was present here too.

The entire first period sucked

The ref was kinda sucky

Extra mention:

I called the game 5-2 in favor of the Caps. 2 goals scored in regulation + hit the posts twice and the bar once. If those go in my prediction would have stood.

Isn't it funny how when they lose we get posts talking about how the team is all about getting Ovechkin goals, and now one game later they win, he doesn't even get a shot on net, and nothing....

But it's super obvious the team is only playing for him to score, right?

Just finished watching. That was a horror show of a game they had no business winning.

That geriatric first line is an abomination that needs to be destroyed.

It pains me to say it but Ovie has looked awful through two games.

Kuemper totally bailed them out.

Yeesh.

He usually does these days, then he scores twice. Kind of the definition of a sniper.
