He didn't have to make many high quality saves tonight but part of that was thanks to how calm, cool, and collected he was swallowing the puck or controlling his rebounds. Impressive initial frozen four performance by a teenage goalie.

If I am not mistaken, yesterday's shutout win against Michigan makes Fowler the freshman goalie with the most wins in the history of the NCAA.

The rumor is Hughes tried to move up into the 2nd round (giving up his 3rds) to draft Jacob Fowler, to no avail. The Habs original 2nd was already traded to the Avs. Then Fowler fell into his lap after 5 goalies were selected in the 2nd round ahead of him. Habs lucked out.
