Fitz signed his ELC for the Blues today. Hard to say if he will return for his D+2 year with Sherbrooke, but there isn't necessarily a spot for him with the Blues AHL affiliate (Husso and Binnington are there already), and the Blues still don't have an official ECHL affiliate.

Anybody who watches the Q/Sherbrooke regularly have any insight on how Fitzpatrick's year went?

It's either the NHL or the Q for him, next year.

So it seems like Fitzpatrick has really turned it around after the trade from Sherbrooke.

Went from a 9 - 9 - 1 record with a 874 SV% and a 3.48 GAA to a 17 - 3 - 0 record with a 915 SV% and 2.24 GAA. Better yet, he's carried it into the playoffs going 8 - 2 while having a 930 SV% and 1.79 GAA. Seems like quite the turnaround for him.

Anyone watching him got anything to say about him? Is he playing as well as his numbers indicate or is he just a product of the new system he's in?

It’s both. Sherbrooke has been an absolute tire for his QMJHL career. He finally got out of that mess and onto a team with actual structure in Bathurst. Yes they’re a very good team and that helps his numbers but he was never as bad as his numbers in Sherbrooke would indicate. He’s absolutely been as good as his numbers indicate, he just needed to play on a real team to show it.

Man it's got to feel good for Fitzpatrick right now.

He went from being on one of the worst QMJHL teams for the majority of his career to backstopping the Titans to a championship. Congrats to him and the rest of the Titans squad.

he changed completely is season ! He was one of the worst goaler when he was in Sherbrooke and he finish a real stud ! Sure he was behind one of the best defensive group I saw in the Q in the last 10 years but he did a great job !

That's disappointing, taking the same path guys like Zach Fucale and Mason McDonald took.
