Yes he is the confirmed starter.Any of you Flyers fans know does he start against Boston?.
If the Flyers make the playoffs, Hart will have to have played a major part
They are not going 22-6-4 in their last 32 games so I think we can rule out playoffs
Carter was 21/22 in even numbers saves. Gives him 1.00 gaa, .954 sv% in a away win over the Boston Bruins.
- 1 pp goal against
last 5 starts: 5-0-0 record, faced 172 shots, 34.4 shots per game, .930 sv%.
- January: 6-2-1 record, faced 306 shots, 34 shots per game, .929 sv% with 2.30 gaa
Shouldn't those numbers give him the rookie of the month award?.
If Hart can some how magically get the Flyers into the Playoffs this year, and post up 20+ wins while maintaining/improving his numbers a bit, I think he is definitely a consideration for Calder (doesn't mean he will win it, but he should definitely be a top3 nomination). Taking a team that was dead last, to a playoff spot, as a 20 year old rookie goalie? That is still a steep hill they have to climb but nothing is impossible at this point.
As much as I am enjoying Carter, there is no one touching Pettersson this year......it would have been interesting though if Carter had started the season with the Flyers....The flyers we're underachieving big time though, they were bound to bounce back. Hart is very impressive though. Very interesting to see if he can take some votes from Pettersson these next few months.
