Really liked Vrana's patience with the puck there. He had two opportunities to make a quick pass that was likely to get picked off by a defender, but he held on to the puck, made a move, and used the space he created to make a smarter pass.

Such a great great 4th line shift from our zone to theirs to end the 4th. Like 15 passes no kidding before the shot.

That 2nd period felt like so last year's Caps. Cant pass, cant get out of our zone, getting mucked up, giving up shots left and right. And then BOOM! Goal

The problem with Chandler and breakaways if you ask me is everyone in the building knows what he's going to do. He seems to always only attempt to go 5-hole either with the drag play or just shot it always only seems to be his thought to go 5hole.

if so Vrana is on target to have a monster year, you can see that he has clearly turned a corner and is ready to bust out

It would be nice to see some of this physicality that we supposedly acquired this summer. The whole bottom-6 is just killing time out there.

Bura has way more natural skill. With a bit more give-a-**** he could have been way better than Panik IMO, but in the end, will beats skill... especially when will has some skill.

Maybe 80% of the skill but his boardwork is top notch and he’s so not a floater, positionally he’s already where you’d want him to be where Bura would be floating and having to start from a dead stop
