That sequence from Jordan Staal exemplifies everything he is to me.
He excellent defends Wayne Simmonds and then physically dominates him, which is no small feat. He forces him to cough up the puck where Sekera steals it.
He then tries to carry the puck up the boards, by himself, through two Flyers who have cut off the angle because Jordan has no angle to work with. This kills a potential rush, even though the puck does get out eventually.
